Why subscribe to the “Hat-Tip” Essay?
Every month1, you’ll get a missive from Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) Nick Lincoln on things personal finance. Like his mother, it’s short, punchy, and opinionated.
Each essay will be 800-1,000 words and can be read in five minutes or so. If reading’s not your bag, there will be a narration of each essay nestling at the top.
Nothing in the “Hat-Tip” essay is regulated financial advice. It’s opinion and anecdote. Nick’s FCA-regulated advisory business is here.
And if you enjoy audio ramblings, Nick is part of the successful The Real Adviser Podcast (TRAP). Audio and video channels are available.

There will be the occasional shorter squib alongside the monthly Essays, as and when events justify such things.
